Tokyo Part 2

Our second day in Tokyo our first stop was made to the Asaskusa distict. Asakusa is the heart of the old part of Tokyo city. We stopped off at the Senso-ji Temple.  Behind the gate there was a avenue of fun shops that lead up to the temple. Nothing grand about the temple but it is in a good location. Our travel book described Senso-ji Temple as the only temple in Japan that has a strong focus on the neighborhood it is in.

Off to the side there was a beautiful Japanese style garden with several other shrines. Cosette liked looking at the carp.
Our next stop was the Japanese gaden, Korakuen.
It was very beautiful and peaceful. Cosette wandered around and was very happy to be out of the stroller.

Our last stop before heading back to Yokohama was to the Rippongi district to enjoy the view of Tokyo from the Mori Tower.

View of Tokyo from the top of Mori Tower. Wish it would have not been so cloudy. Still the view was pretty astounding. The city kept going and going and going. The red building that looks like the Eiffel tower is Tokyo Tower. You can also go up to the top to see a great view.

Day two in Tokyo was a success.
