NYC We Love You

We have made it back to the big apple! We have been unpacking our apartment and things are mostly back to normal. For some reason it always seems like it takes a month or so to  get everything unpacked and back to a normal routine. I am kind of getting there....

We have dived right back into New York living. Oh how we have missed the city! It is wonderful being back. We have spent the time before Lyndon has to go back to school by visiting some of our favorite places close by like the Conservatory Gardens in Central Park. We have visited them in almost every season now. I have to say that late summer is my favorite so far. Spring was beautiful but these summer blossoms have taken me back down memory lane to beautiful England.

The garden is divided into three smaller gardens representing the English, Italian, and French garden styles.

Here is the Italian,

English,

And lovely French.

We have been taking advantage of all the fun free summer events the city has to offer. We went and stood in line in the pouring rain at the Delacourt Theatre in Central park for tickets to Into the Woods part of the Shakespear and Sondheim in the park. And it is all for free! Amy Adams and Glen Close were both in the play. And we got to see it for free! I love NYC!

We got soaking wet while we waited for those tickets. Well mainly Lyndon. Being the Gentleman he is, Cosette and I had the umbrealla while he stood the rain. He maintained good spirits. Here is doing 1,2,3 jump with Cosette. She loves playing with her Daddy! I love seeing them interact together. It makes me so happy.

We made it to the Natural History Museum. I love that Cosette is now old enough to enjoy going to museums and other outings we do. We can really enjoy it as a family now (although, I miss infant Coco. So so cute, and precious!). We took her to some of the animal exhibits and she had a blast.

We also went down to Lincoln Center and enjoyed the Metropolian Summer HD Festival where a free opera has been playing everynight this week. We saw Strauss's Salome. I really really enjoyed it, even with the like 60 year old woman playing the 20 year old girl (or maybe even younger). That was kind of awkward but the music was fantastic.

New York it is good to be back!
