Christmas Time at Grand Central

Grand Central like every other wonderful building in our city was decked out for the holidays. There was a light show in the main hall to celebrate 100 years of Grand Central. When family was in town for Thanksgiving we went down there to see the lights.

This is where the light show took place. It was just up on these windows. Starting at five in the evening the lights would come on and there were words that would flash across them. It said "Happy Holidays" and other messages like that. Pretty cool, but I thought it was going to be a little bit more. At least there was still the holiday market to check out.

Our awesome family photo. Cosette is a riot.

I could not resist getting a shot of the Grand Central lights with the Chrysler building. It has been documented!

Sisters at Grand Central! Ellen had not been yet on all her trips to NYC so we had to take her. She loved it!

Best photo of the night! I love husband's face.

Another reason to visit Grand Central during the holiday's was the MTA transit museum's holiday train show. Best part it is free! I took the kids one Saturday when it snowed from morning till the next morning. Great indoor activity for that snowy day. It was also Santa Con that day and there were people dressed up as Santa everywhere because apparently they were all meeting at Grand Central to kick of that event. Cosette was happy to see "Santa" everywhere, but I had to keep telling her that none of them were the real Santa. (Santa Con is when people get dressed up as Santa and go bar hoping the rest of the day, that is as far as my knowledge about the event goes). So yeah, Cosette none of those Santas were the real Santa.

Going fast! Cosette loved that.

Tiny Hershey's truck please park outside out apartment.

I cannot for the life of me get this little girl to look at the camera to take a picture. She just has better things to do I guess.

Tiny Grand Central, or Grand Central for ants. Name that movie, ha!

It's Christmas time in the city.

She loves trains. It's a good thing she has a little brother so we have a good reason to invest in them now, because boys like trains. I know Lyndon sure does.
