Versailles

Our last weekend in Paris we took a trip out to Versailles. It was the last big outing we had planned while we were over there. We spent to day wondering around the massive gardens there. We figured with the kiddos that it would be better to spend the day in the gardens than touring the Chateau. It was! The spring sun was shining and it was a glorious day to be at Versailles.
We took a boat out on the lake there. Cosette decided that she wanted a turn to row. We spun in circles for a little bit, hahah. She loved it. The things we do for our kids. Lyndon was happy to be out on the water. We saw the Versailles swans swimming about. I would love to see what it was like here when it was in use.
Me and Big H who is not so impressed about being on a boat. He is probably thinking been here done that Mom in Madrid.
What a view! We picniced nex to the water. We will miss crepes with nutella and strawberries.
My favorite picture of the day. If only Cosette would look at the camera.
Headed out Le Petit Trion.
We loved visiting Marie Antoinette's quarter at Versailles. It looks like Belle's village in Beauty in the Beast.
It looks like she is pulling the petals off when you do the "he loves me, he loves me not" thing. It's a little to early for that sweetheart.
This place is a fairy tale village.

One of the best sites we saw was the Apollo fountain.
We survived this outing. It was a more challenging of our outings over there. We were pretty tired. It has been non stop on the go for a long time. It is wonderful and we have loved doing everything we have done, but it requires a lot of energy. It is hard to forget you have no energy when you are surrounded by such beauty. It really gives you the extra adrenalin dose to continue to explore and see as much as you can. I am grateful we were able to visit this extraordinary palace. It is such a beautiful place. We could have spent weeks here exploring the grounds. There are wonders to see around every corner. Gosh I love this place!
