Easter Parade 2015

Happy Easter from 5th Ave! We made hats and went down to the Easter Parade. A couple of friends got me started on this tradition the year we moved to NYC. Sadly they have both left the city, but they helped us start a fun tradition. I enjoy going and seeing all the different hats and its nice to see people dressed up going to church (maybe? We are and it looks like others are there from church too). The Easter Parade should really be called the Easter Promenade because it is just people walking around in their hats or people admiring hats. The streets on 5th Ave from the Rockerfella Plaza up to the Plaza is blocked off and you can roam the streets enjoying the event.
St. Patrick's Cathedral looks fantastic! We were in awe of its beauty.
I love going and seeing all the different hats people are wearing. It is one big photo fest. Everyone is promenading around looking at the different hats taking photos of their favorites or ones that you can't walk by without taking a photo of. It is a really fun event. Cosette and I even got asked to have our photo taken.

He wore his hat for about five seconds before he took it off. And in those five seconds I was able to snap this picture and people flocked over to him to get his picture. Love this little man of mine.

Eggheads of the world.

Met up with our cute friends.

This kid was so stinking cute! It was adorable and makes me want to dress up one of my kids next year, but don't worry kiddos it won't happen.

My favorite, the JAWS hat.

One of our favorites. Simple and elegant.

Don't know how these people walked around in these hats, because they were having to hold them up with their arms.
I love those red flower hats!
The giant Peep in the one chick's hat made me laugh.
Walking by this church is always one of my favorites because it has the Christian symbols for Easter and a sign proclaiming that "he is risen!".
We should have taken pictures from the front side of the fountain, haha. Oh well. Live and learn.
Finally out of the crowds and he was free to run, and run he did.
Happy Easter from us!
