Utah

Even with the wedding going on, we managed to get out and do a lot of things that we have not done before on our visits out west. The first stop was Thanksgiving Point to see the Tulip Festival.
Lyndon and I snuck into the gardens when we were engaged to check out the  place. It was the dead of winter at that time so it was nice to see the place in all its spring glory.

Too cool for school.

Tulips in the Butterfly Garden section.

Our favorite part of the place was the Secret Garden. We spent the majority of our time there.
And the majority of the time we were there they spent in the fountain.
The happiest smile.

They decided they were cows, and were crawling around mooing for a while.

She was our navigator.

Doing our "fancy" pose.
And our silly pose.

And the final dancing pose.
Twenty seven weeks in this photo.
Uncle and nephew.
Our next stop as the Museum of Natural Curiosity. I wish we had spent more time there. It was the coolest!

Coolest museum ever!
Our last stop at Thanksgiving Point was the Farm Country. Our kids are both animal lovers, especially Henry. He loves, loves, loves, animals. And the first ones we saw were his favorites, ducks!
Henry on his first pony ride. He was very excited to ride the "horse".
I love how small Henry's horse is compared to Cosette's. They both got their right size horses.
Kids on a carriage.
We really wanted to show the kids the cows getting milked and we made special attempt to get there in time for it and then it kept getting pushed back and back. We stuck around and it was all the things we did made it worth it.
One of my favorite things about going to Utah is getting to meet up with all the friends and family that are there. My aunt and uncle were there visiting for my cousin's graduation. We meet up with them at BYU and the kids got some good "Grandma" Sabrena time.
We introduced the kids to the BYU Creamery. Why we haven't done so yet is a mystery to us. It's almost as good as Mayfield ice cream, but I am a biased Southern girl, haha.
Cousin babies! These two little boys had fun together.
Cosette got to join the big girls for pedicures. She picked out sparkly blue and then decided to use the same color as me, sparkly pink. We like pink and sparkles. She was so excited. Once we got there she was a little nervous, but it loved her sparkly toes.
The cutest little fireman in the entire world. He loves fireman hats.
While we were in Utah we wanted to do things that we can not do in the city. Hiking was of course on teh list. We hiked Ensign Peak, because its a short one and Lyndon has never hiked it before. The way up was rough on the kids. It's pretty steep and they are city kids. Once we got to the top it was all smiles and the way down was a lot of fun. Cosette and I beat Daddy and Henry making us the fastest and them the slowest pokes. We laughed about that.
Love that view!
We made it to the top and what a view!
Lyndon told me the hike was paved and only a mile round trip. So I ended up wearing a dress and sandles but I made it to the top and down no problem.
My three favorite people on "top of the world".
After our hike we went to Temple Square to show the kiddos around. Every time we have been there with them it has been for a wedding. It was nice to take them around at as leisurely a pace as two littles can handle.

They are ours for eternity.
Then they decided it was time to take a nap or get some sun.

We love to see the temple.
They are water babies. It was impossible to keep them away from the water. The sound of their giggles was infectious. We were all smiling and giggling before the outing was over.
And this was their favorite part of the outing, running around in the fountain getting completely soaked.
Here are the two wettest, cutest kids in the whole wide world. We had to buy them some new clothes they were so soaked and it was a little chilly. They needed new pajamas anyway.
Utah it was fun. See you soon.
