Happy Birthday Cosette!

Cosette turned four years old on July 22. I really cannot believe it has been four years since she was born. I really miss my Baby Coco, it was a really special time in my life becoming a mom. It has been amazing to see how she has grown and changed these last four years. Basically all that has changed is her physical appearance, height, weight, but her sweet, loving personality has remained the same. Her personality has really developed and it is so much fun being with her. Four year olds are hilarious! I love the conversations we have, and hearing her tell me about the world around her. She is a riot! I love it!

Since we have two three birthdays in one week we spread out the birthday celebrations a bit. There is only so much cake and ice cream you can eat in a four day period. We started the week off with a party with her friends. It was low key and fun. Although it was the hottest day of the summer. I kept looking at the weather because it said it was going to rain, but no. It was nice and sunny with a high of let's jump in the pool right now it's so hot and humid. We found some shade and the breeze kicked in making it bearable. The kids had a great time and we came home with only a small piece of cake. Victory!
This year she asked for a pink, purple, and yellow turtle cake. Not sure why, but voila! She was really excited about it.
We went to Party City and she picked out all her party supplies. So naturally, everything was pink! She was especially excited about the pink polka-dotted plates and napkins. And had to set everything herself at the party.
The best picture we got of some of the party crew.
We have started the Birthday pancake breakfast tradition. Just normal  pancakes with rainbow sprinkles in them. It creates a great mood that last the whole day. We presented her with her big birthday present, a new purple scooter! It's one of her favorite colors. She rode it around the whole day telling everyone that it was her birthday and she was four years old. That afternoon she and I went on a mommy daughter date to the library to watch Meet the Robinsons, we love that movie. It was really fun getting to spend some one on one time together. I now plan to do them more regularly.
That night we met up with Daddy in Central Park and had a picnic and opened presents.

She was really excited to open presents. She had been waiting "patiently" all day.

Henry has commandeered the dalmatian for himself. He loves that dog and sleeps with it every night.

Instead of making another cake, we let her pick out a place to go get some dessert. She wanted an ice cream cone, so 16 Handles it was.

We sang Happy Birthday to her at breakfast on her birthday. Henry has been singing it everyday since.
In the four years of her life our family has undergone a lot of changes. We moved several times to different countries, had two more babies, and not really stayed in the same place for more than a year. I am really proud of her for handling all those situations well.

Happy Birthday Cosette! We love you so much!
xoxo Mommy, Daddy, Henry, and Raphael
