Hong Kong Disneyland Photos

Photos from Hong Kong Disneyland! It was as magical as it looks. We had the park pretty much completely to our selves. We hardly had to wait in line for the rides. We got two day passes and opened and closed the park both days in a row. The kids had so much fun. It was so cute the morning of our second day when we got up Henry asked if we could go back to Disneyland. It was so nice to say yes! It is a cliche, but Disneyland is truly the happiest place on Earth. Our kids were the perfect ages to enjoy it. Henry was so excited to see Mickey, Donald, and Goofy. And he was so excited to see Sofia the First. The things that come with having an older sister and mom who like watching it (#guiltypleasure).

Toy Story land is unique to HK Disneyland. The kids loved the slinky ride. And Henry went on the parachute ride and loved it. I thought he was going to be screaming and crying. Proud of him for being brave. But it was probably him just being excited to go on another ride. Lyndon did say that he held on tight to his arm. But there was no weeping or wailing, so cheers from me. And while I was waiting someone asked to take a picture with me! I have made it! Everyone was asking to take pictures with the kids which was not surprising. But a picture with me? It's the blonde hair. I was joking with Lydon telling him I have made it in Asia.

The Dumbo ride always makes me think of Jim Gaffagin line about standing in line for an hour for the Dumbo ride and realizing you are the Dumbo. It's really funny when you listen to it. And you can listen to it here.

Beauty and the Beast castle for Ellen.

Snow White's grotto. We made wishes at the wishing well.

Seriously the happiest place on Earth.

This was probably Cosette's favorite place because of Space Mountain. She is obsessed with roller coasters right now. Over the two days we went on it about 10 times. She would have gone on it more if we would have let her. Lyndon and I both realize we are getting older because the roller coaster was kind of making us naseous after two times in a row. We are savoring our youth.

Cosette was tired of standing at this point.

Storm troopers love babies. Who knew?

Metting Pluto was really fun. We were waiting in the line and the kids were being you know, loud. He came back to the nook where they were playing and surprised them even though there were still people in front of us. The kids thought it was awesome. Once it was our turn to meet him they were really excited and there was a fun exchange between them.

Mystic Manor was our favorite ride. It is unique to HK Disneyland. Lyndon says it's like the Indiana Jones ride. We really like the mischievous monkey, Albert, who makes the ridge really fun.
We closed down the park both days we went. The second night we stayed for the fireworks. It was of course spectacular, with a special tribute to Mulan. Totally fitting for being in China.
I know. That's what she is known as at our house. It comes from Cosette calling her I know as a wee toddler. The name has stuck I think only with me. Cossette has started calling her Sleeping Beauty.

Charisse, Doug, and Abbey met up with us at Disneyland that night because they have season passes, lucky. Cosette went on the Winnie the Pooh ride with them and talked their ear off about our day. Doug snapped this phots on the way back to their flat. What looks like an uneventful ride actually turned into kind of a crazy one when Cosette sat up partially asleep screaming because she had to go to the bathroom and then peed on the train. It got cleaned up. Everyone carries tissues with them in Asia. We used everyone's around us.

Disneyland was the perfect way to end our trip to HK. If we had gone at the beginning the kids would have hated doing everything else. Another trip win!
