School Time: Sports Carnival

In addition to Sports Day, the area PCF Schools put on a Sports Day Carnival! There were carnival games, drawing contest, and relay races!

It was your typical super hot Singapore day. Henry was sick, so just Cosette and I went. We played every game they had, participated in the drawing contest, and geared up for the relay race.

There were four schools that participated. Each grade had a relay race competing aginst the other schools. The winning team won trophies. The relays were very similar to sports day, but slightly more complicated. Cosette's team was the green team. I cheered them on the whole race, which took forever. Seriously like twenty minutes plus. Their team won! It was so exciting!

Then the parent child relay races started. Cosette and I were the first leg on our team. We had two newspapers that we had to use to get across the basketball court, throw a soccer ball to hit a 2 liter soda bottle filled with water over, return the ball to it's place, then proceed back to the start using our newspapers. It was a bit of a challenge. Our team did not win, but we had fun.

The drawing competition topic was: My Happy Home. This is Cosette's illustration of our "happy home".

When you are the tallest in your class, you can pick up all your friends.

Events like this are helping this girl learn good sportsmanship. She did not win the game that allowed to get the sky dancer prize. A little girl who had an extra one gave it to Cosette when she saw that she was distraught over losing. Such a sweet thing for that little girl to do, and a lesson of gratitude for Cosette. Hoping she learns to pay kind acts like that forward.

Green Team K2 champions! I'm not proud or anything, haha.

She is so proud of her trophy.

Cosette and Ms. Sui Hoy, best K2 teacher! We love and appreciate her so much.
Thank you to the schools for putting on such a fun event. We went home with lots of prizes, and priceless memories.
