Catch Up and Spring Break.

Image
I have been really bad about posting this year. Winter has dragged on for forever. It's the end of April and we are finally getting decent weather. Our hibernating will be over, fingers crossed.  I just do not do as many outings anymore with the kids. We are in the school routine. After school we go to a nearby playground. The kids just want to run and play with their friends. I am tired and lazy and do not do much with Rapha while the big kids are at school. I have not felt any reason to keep posting, because life has been boring lately. Maybe that is a good thing for us. I would be fine with boring if the weather was better. Spring or summer is around the corner. Not sure if we will get any spring at all.  Photo dump from daily life and spring break.   Henry's face.   We go the library every Monday for "Makers Monday" or "Full STEM Ahead". Makers Monday they bring out all sorts of building toys for the kids to play with. Full STEM Ahea

Girls Day aka Girly Day

A couple weeks back, Cosette planned a girls day for us. She kept calling it our girly day. We were going to ride scooters in the park, go to the MET for one hour (she was very specific about that), go to the library to read Wonder , and go to Orwasher's to get a pan au chocolat (cho-co-latte, as she says it). She was so excited about it. It was the sweetest thing. Lyndon was free that Saturday to take the boys, and off we went.  It was the first warm weekend of the year. Wearing short shelves has never felt so great. We had to make our way through Central Park, which was overflowing with people. Sheep's meadow was like an ocean with all the people and the waves of noise coming from it.  Cosette has been taking an art class at the MET. She has developed an appreciation for this place. She made sure that we packed out sketch books, and colored pencils. She wanted to see the statue of Perseus holding Medusas head, and take me around the American Wing. I had fun expla

Girls Run the World

This past weekend the President  of our church's Relief Society (our church's women's organization), and leaders of the Young Women's and Primary organizations (our church's children's groups) were in NYC. They held a fireside for all the women ages 12 and up. I was able to attend (although in the middle I had to go pick Cosette up from a birthday party). The meeting was going a lot slower than anticipated, so I went back with Cosette. She was able to hear Sister Jean B. Bingham, the General Relief Society President, speak. I told Cosette who Sister Bingham was, and she sat up to see her better. She then turned to me and said, "mommy you could be the president one day". That was sweet of her. Sometimes it strikes me at how much he looks up to me. Helps me stay on my toes and try to be better. After the fireside Sister Bingham was outside the chapel talking with the sister and taking pictures with them. When she saw Cosette, she stopped what sh
