Little Dates

Image
Lately I have been making time to spend one on one with each kid, or sometimes another will tag along. It has been really special to go on these little dates. There is usually pizza, and or ice cream. Some are big, and others are smaller things. Sometimes there are free, and sometimes we pay big bucks for it. Whatever we do is special. I've learned that it doesn't matter what I am doing with my kids, they just want to have my time and attention. I've taken them to a book store, and they play with the toys and love it! Half an hour, free, and they had the best time ever. Rapha gets the most alone time with me, since he only goes to school three days a week. I will do things with him during that time. With Henry and Cosette, I will arrange a play date for two of the kids and go out with one. Or take them out at night if Lyndon is home. Sometimes I higher a babysitter. This is something that I have found is really important for me and my kids to do. Siblings are great,

Journey to Paradisio

I had a quick date night with Cosette to the Macy's Flower Show: Journey to Paradisio. It was a spontaneous decision to go and spend a little time with this girl who just needed some extra tlc that night. We had a great time taking pictures, finding the little aliens scattered around, and being together. Cheesy but true.  This year was my favorite Macy's flower show I have been to. I think the theme speaks so much more to my children, whom I want to take, and have to come with me because Dad works late. Space theme and flowers worked really well. When you watch a movie about another planet the plants are always exotic, covering everything up, making it look way more mysterious or ominous, because you cannot see the "danger" that lies ahead. And there is always a gigantic carnivorous jungle plant. We had the misfortune of being inside the mouth of one at the show.  I loved these cute little robots carrying the flower pots around.
