Like a Lion

That is how March has come in, with roaring force that ebbs ands flows. This month has been wonderful, but then terrible all at once. The term all the feels is appropriate for March so far.   It snowed on March 2nd, and it was infuriating!  Lyndon has been the busiest he has been at work in a long time. I broke my toe in a freak vomit accident (story at the end of the post), and cannot run my half marathon in April. We have had multiple doctors appointments and a lot more before the month is over. The kids struggling with different things that I have no idea how to help them. It's been in the 20s several days in a row. Then the weather has gone up to the 70s. Cosette and Henry got glowing reviews at their parent teacher conferences. I have gotten to go on two mini dates with Henry. I took Cosette to see Anastasia on Broadway before it closes at the end of the month. Rapha got a cute hair cut. Lyndon's office has moved to Hudson Yards and is closer to our apartment (view f

Disney and Harry Potter Video!

Here is our little video about our trip to Disney and Harry Potter. I am glad we did this trip. Its been several weeks and the kids are still talking about Harry Potter World. We all needed some warm weather and to see the sun. It has made winter so much more bearable. We grew closer together. My love for each of my family members increased. It's another testament the importance of going on family trips. Just thinking about them getting their wands and robes brings a huge smile to my face.   I wish I had taken more video, capturing more of their smiles, and Hogwarts. I missed that one! That means there will be a next time. Enjoy!

Disney World!

The rest of our mid winter break we spent at Disney World! We spent two days at Magic Kingdom and one at Animal Kingdom. This trip was about the kids and we did not want to cram in going to all the different parks. We choose Magic Kingdom, because it is classic and you cannot go wrong with it. The kids are really into animals, so Animal Kingdom was an obvious choice. They enjoyed Animal Kingdom overall better than Magic Kingdom. Both were really fun and we have no regrets about skipping the other parks. It simplified the trip, and everything we did not get to on our first day at Magic Kingdom we could do on our second day.  We scheduled a character lunch our first day at Magic Kingdom. We had lunch and got to meet Winnie the Pooh and friends. Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, and Eeyore came to our table and hung out with us for a little bit. It was sweet and I am really glad we did it. Henry enjoyed it the most I think. He was the most animated and interacted with the characte

Mid winter break 2019 was magical, emphasis on magical. We planned a surprise trip for the kids to Orlando to do Disney and Universal Studios. Our kids are super in to Harry Potter, so a trip to The Wonderful Wizarding World of Harry Potter was a must.  They are obsessed. We have read books 1-3 with them, watched the movies, and Cosette is reading book 4 on her own. They got Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone audio book for Christmas and listen to it every night. Henry comes out in the morning singing the Hogwarts school song, "Hogwarts, Hogwarts, hoggy warty Hogwarts, teach us something please....". Makes my heart burst with joy. They are so cute. They have parts of it memorized and will go around saying the spells. It is everything my Harry Potter loving self could dream of.  Harry Potter was day one of the trip. Lyndon and I kept it tight lipped. They knew we were going to Florida, but they did not know what was in Florida. We did tell them when we got the
