Disney World!

The rest of our mid winter break we spent at Disney World! We spent two days at Magic Kingdom and one at Animal Kingdom. This trip was about the kids and we did not want to cram in going to all the different parks. We choose Magic Kingdom, because it is classic and you cannot go wrong with it. The kids are really into animals, so Animal Kingdom was an obvious choice. They enjoyed Animal Kingdom overall better than Magic Kingdom. Both were really fun and we have no regrets about skipping the other parks. It simplified the trip, and everything we did not get to on our first day at Magic Kingdom we could do on our second day.

We scheduled a character lunch our first day at Magic Kingdom. We had lunch and got to meet Winnie the Pooh and friends. Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, and Eeyore came to our table and hung out with us for a little bit. It was sweet and I am really glad we did it. Henry enjoyed it the most I think. He was the most animated and interacted with the characters the most, especially Tigger. Cosette warmed up pretty quickly. She loves Piglet. It was sweet to see their reactions. It was a buffet style lunch that included a dessert bar. The kids each visited it about three times, haha.

The kids favorite rides at Magic Kingdom were Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, Mickey's Philarmagic, Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, the Jungle Cruise, and the Little Mermaid. Cosette loved Splash Mountain. She and Grandma went off on their own the second day to do all the big rides. The boys were not having any more fast rides. We scarred them from the Jurassic Park ride we did at Universal, oops.

The best surprise of Magic Kingdom was going to Belle's Enchanted Tales. We had no idea what it was, but when Lyndon was doing his research all the sources said it was a must do. I am so glad we did. We went into Belle's farm house and were going to see the day that Belle and the Beast fell in love. We were looking into a "magic mirror" on the wall that then opened up and we walked through into the Beast's castle. There each child was assigned a part in a play we were going to put on for Belle. Lyndon was one of the lucky adults who got to participate. He was a knight. Cosette was a dish, and Henry was the footstool puppy (so cute). Rapha choose not to participate (Disney is fun, but long days for little legs). Then we moved to Belle's library! The scene in the animated film where Beast takes Belle to the library has always been a favorite. I was fan girling out in there. Then Belle came in and performed the play with the kids. At the end, all the kids got to meet her. It was so sweet and a wonderful surprise. We were all a little star struck.

The kids really enjoyed Animal Kingdom. The Kilimanjaro Safari was their favorite. We got there first thing in the morning and got to it without waiting in line. Henry and Cosette took their cameras they got for Christmas with them. Henry was snapping pictures the whole time. It was so cute watching him get excited to take a picture of this animal, and that animal. He would move around our bench seat so he could get the best angle for his picture.

We majority of our time at Animal Kingdom was about earning our Junior Wildlife Explorers badges. The Park had badge stations set up all over the park. We visited all 29 and became Senior Wildlife Explorers. The wilderness must be explored! Cacaw! Cacaw! Roar! That is the Wildlife Explorers motto. All of it is based on the movie UP. It was really fun running around the park finding each station.

Animal Kingdom also had the BEST roller coast I have ever been on. It is called Expedition Everest: Legend of the Forbidden Mountain. It is about the Yeti protecting the Forbidden Mountain next to Mt. Everest. You go forward, backward, up, and down. It blew my mind. I loved it! Lyndon was nice and let me go on it twice. It was so much fun.

Huge shot out to Lyndon for planning the entire trip. It was so fun. He planned everyday out, so that we would not have to wait in line for hardly any rides. He worked out all the fast passes, which helped so much with the trip. He booked certain hotels so that would get us into the park early, or let us stay late. Without all his planning the trip would not have been as enjoyable.

Gaston!

Our second day we took the boys, while Grandma and Cosette did the fast rides. I am not sure while Rapha looks so sour? He had a good time.

He was so excited to do the Haunted Mansion for a second time.

Hot weather meant ice cream! We got our fill and then some. I went for the Dole Whip. It is my Disney must.

Rapha was the only one excited to see the princesses, lol. It was sweet. Cinderella asked him if he would escort her to the ball later.

Henry in the play at Belle's Enchanted Stories.

On safari at Animal Kingdom.

Got to meet Mickey and Minnie together!

We enjoyed the Gorilla and Asia trails at Animal Kingdom.

The Tree of Life at Animal Kingdom. We had to take a picture with it.

How we ended each day. Sign of a fun trip.
It was a wonderful break. I am glad we went all out with the character lunch, resorts, etc. We got a full Disney experience that the kids will never forget. And we will not do for another 10 years.
