The Blaze Tradition Lives On

It's the most wonderful time of year! With the kids trick or treating and everyone wishing you Happy Halloween! It's the most wonderful time of the year.

We kicked off the Halloween season by going to the Great Jack O'Lantern Blaze, with special guest, Grandma! She has mentioned in the past that she would like to go to the Blaze sometime, so we made it happen. It was exciting to share one of our favorite traditions with her. The kids could not wait to see all the spooky pumpkins.

There were a few new ones, a Dutch windmill, unicorn, wizard, that made a great new addition to the event. The Carousel, and the Circus Train are just amazing. The Tunnel of Stars is a favorite (I miss the Tunnel of Love though). The ones that pay homage to the area (Headless Horseman, Statue of Liberty, etc) I really appreciate. It makes me extra proud to live in an area where these things originate, especially the Headless Horseman. The elaborate creations are incredible, but my favorite are the simpler ones, the dancing skeletons, jack o'lanterns. Those are my favorite. It is hard to pick a favorite. Pumpkins make me happy.

My favorites in one picture.

Itty bitty bats, flying all around. Oh! Bats! They make no sound.

Van Coutlandt Manor decor this year  is Lyndon's favorite.

Cosette's favorite.

Pumpkin Zee Bridge, paying homage to our lovely Tappan Zee Bridge.

Love getting pictures with her. She is going through a growing up spurt, if that makes any sense. She is changing so much so quickly. Her likes and dislikes have changed over night. The only explanation is that she is growing up. I am trying to keep up with it all.

Obnoxious mom strikes again.
Pumpkin spice and apple cider doughnuts to end the night.
Till next year Great Jack O'Lantern Blaze. You make this holiday so much better.
