Welcome Home Hannah!

We went to Utah for a quick trip to welcome home our favorite sister missionary, Aunt Hannah! She has spent the past 18 months serving a mission for our church in Zimbabwe, specifically the Harare area. She is freaking amazing. She was able to email every week, and the stories she had to tell were interesting to say the least. One that sticks out to me was her and her companion going to. Members house for dinner. He member took them out to look at all their rabbits, and then asked them to pick one out for dinner! She was also there during the political cou. Other than all this, she taught the people the gospel of Jesus Christ and helped many people come to know him better. Her experience there really illustrated the sacrifice the missionaries from our church make. I’ve had friends and family go on missions, but it never hit me how big of a sacrifice these young adults make to do this. I think it is from the food to the witch doctors, and all the experiences outside of our /my Western comfort zone she experienced really hit that home to me. She did it! With grace and poise. She is a gem, and we are so happy we were there to welcome her home.

The whole Plothow clan was there (first time since 2015). The last time we saw Hannah was right before we left for Singapore. The kids had fun playing with their cousins. Henry and William were inseparable the entire time. They were so cute. They had a sleep over on the trampoline with grandma. They really enjoyed all the family around to play with.

Best cousin buddies!

Got to spend some time with my brother!

Getting some uncle time!

Plothow cousins.

We are all in love with baby Tiberius.

Before we left we visited the BYU Dinosaur Museum. Cosette was in dinosaur heaven. Our favorite was the giant denosuchus head.

Lyndon left before us, cause work. The kids and I enjoyed the extra few days we were there. We made it back to NYC with our any problems. It was the easiest trip ever! Flights with TVs are the best. The kids were entertained the entire time, and I did not have to do anything. So nice to relax and enjoy the flight. And I am grateful for airplanes, which allow us to visit our family, because they are all far away.
