We are so Blessed

We have been so blessed. People have been so good to us. My Momma came up for two weeks after Henry was born to help adjust to life with two kids. It was perfect. Lyndon was able to focus on school and I was able to rest up and get used to having two babies. I could have some one on one time with Cosette and just focus on her. I know it was a sacrifice for her to come up and leave my Dad and siblings at home. Plus, she was promoted so she was busy learning the new tasks of her job. We really needed her here and we are so grateful to her and those she left at home for the sacrifices made. We are so blessed.

People in our Church congregation have been so good to us as well. Meals were provided starting after my Momma left. We even had a couple of friends bring us meals just because they wanted to. We are so blessed! People were helping us out even before Henry was here. One friend took Cosette for several hours so I could rest before Henry was born. We have several friends watch her while we were at the hospital when Henry was born. One of them even cleaned my house. We are so blessed!!!

This week has been a rough one. I cam down with a fever Monday morning which lasted through Friday. Momma being sick is the worst. This was the worst possible week for me to get sick too. I had Halloween plans everyday even Friday and Saturday (we were trying to squeeze every last ounce of fun from this holiday that we could). Lyndon was super busy with school. He had a midterm, a study session, and a test that he had to pass in order to pass the bar all this week. Worst week to get sick! Luckily, we had a couple of friends who offered to take Cosette for a while, allowing me to rest and Lyndon study time. Everything worked out. I am better, and Lyndon did well on both of his exams, so life is good.

I share these experiences to help me remember how many blessing we have in our lives. Also, all the service that others have provided me and my family. This month being Thanksgiving I really want to focus on gratitude. The sister missionaries in our ward challenged us to think of things that we are grateful for at the end of each day. I have been practicing that. It has made each day special in some way. One night I was especially grateful for Cosette. She had been so sweet to Henry and to me that day. I am grateful for those days because sometimes she is not so sweet to anyone. I am grateful for my many blessings and for this month dedicated to thanksgiving.
